My name is Matt, and I’m the person behind this site.

Having worked over a decade within the AEC industry, I found myself continually frustrated with the lack of online resources when it came to Canadian building codes and the need of having to reference numerous different websites and/ or large and cumbersome, physical copies of the different provincial building codes.

That’s why I created Canadianbuildingcodes.ca, to serve as an all in one resource, providing free and easy to navigate access between the provincial building codes within Canada. Along with providing easy access to Canadian building codes, this website was also created to serve as a learning centre for students, home owners, or working professionals within the AEC industry.
